The owners, a couple, made us feel easefully at home, and were generous and kind and like old friends. All needs were taken care of. The table napkins were starched linen, on antique tables, with farm-fresh jams and other ingredients. We enjoyed immensely the dining-room space for all day teleconferencing and emails -- no need to search for some noisy cafe outside. A gem, a jewel, a true refuge. The rooms were great, with newly remodelled bathroom facilities. Just excellent in every way -- this will be a go-to base for future Berlin visits, for SURE.
