The hotel is a lovely 19th century home with mostly period decor and furnishing. The owner and his staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner in the beautiful dining room. Booking and pre-ordering dinner is requested of guests. Sackville is an interesting small town with a university. There are lovely trails around the extensive waterfowl reserve in easy walking distance from the hotel. I walked from the Via Rail station in less than 10 minutes. An excellent pause on my way from Halifax to Charlottetown.

Absolutely lovely B&B with fabulous breakfasts and charming rooms. The bathrooms are exceptionally large with both a roomy shower and a clawfoot bathtub, catering to all. Jeff and Marsica are charming hosts and we were warmly welcomed by their dog Rosie. We became so fond of her that we even asked to walk her one evening!

Amherst is a very interesting and historical town with several sites of interest (ie museums). The Armoury is a must see!!The stone buildings are beautiful. Enjoyed the shopping experience in the downtown core. People are very friendly. It's easy to get around.

I have friends who live in Amherst, and lived there for a short time many years ago. Amherst does not have a lot for tourists. We were there for a reunion at the Baptist Church. I forgot how beautiful it was Amherst is close to Springhill, which does not have a hotel. I just wanted a plazce to stay for the night, have some dinner and sleep. I went a few blocks away to eat, however, you can order food from their dining room which was closed for renovations but we did have a good breakfast.RobertCanada

The cleaning staff helped us use our door key the first time. Then each time we saw her she greeted us and asked if we needed anything. Our room was exceptionally clean. The hotel was close to downtown and major highway.

The price was cheap compared to other Hotels so I wasn't that upset even with my Tim Hortons it was cheaper. Also pool doesn't work. No big deal for me but people with kids probably want to play in the pool.
